Using the site

By creating a question set or answering one on beforewemeet.lol, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use the site.

You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account.

It's a starting point, not a verdict

beforewemeet helps people ask better questions before they meet. Whatever the result says, it is a conversation starter — not a judgment on anyone.

  • A score, a pass or a fail here means nothing outside this site. It's not a verdict on anyone.
  • What happens after — who you reply to, who you meet, who you stop talking to — is entirely your own choice, and yours alone.
  • Don't treat a result as proof of anything, and don't use it to pressure, shame or make decisions about another person.
  • If a question set or its result upsets you, step away from it. It is not worth more than that.

Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of the questions, answers and descriptions you write. You give us only the permission we need to store your set and show it to the people you share the link with.

You're responsible for what you publish, including anything you paste from somewhere else.

Keeping the service safe

When necessary to run, support, secure, investigate abuse, fix a technical issue, or meet a legal obligation, the founder, administrators, or authorized developers may access the limited account, question-set, attempt, or security data needed for that purpose.

That access does not give anyone permission to use your data for unrelated purposes.

What you may not do

Some things will get a question set taken down and an account closed.

  • Publishing someone else's private information, or content designed to harass, threaten or humiliate a specific person.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any content that is illegal where you live.
  • Impersonating another person or brand.
  • Attacking the service: scraping, automated submissions, attempts to read answer keys, or anything designed to get around the one-attempt rule or the limits a creator has set.

Removal and suspension

We can remove a question set or suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we can do it without notice when the content is clearly harmful. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.

This is not screening

A question set on this site is not a background check, an identity check, or a safety check, and it says nothing about whether someone is safe to meet. Use ordinary caution when you meet anyone from the internet.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will always be available, that links will last forever, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be upset to lose.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, including anything that happens between you and the people who answer your questions.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
